Automatic or Manual? An automatic Grease Guardian will trap grease just like any manual or traditional grease trap. The main difference is that the grease that is trapped is removed at the end of the day by a skimming and heating programme. This means users do not have to remove the grease themselves or use chemicals or bacteria to remove the grease or call someone to pump it clean. Basically the ongoing costs are much less and because the grease is always being removed the effluent quality is kept high.
Choose a manual grease trap if you can remove the grease yourself or are happy to have someone pump it clean regularly otherwise install an automatic system to have lower on going costs and maintenance requirements.
