Today marks my first return back to the Grease Guardian Office from the Restaurant Show 2015 which was held in the Olympia Exhibition Centre in West Kensington, London. It was great to see such a fabulous turn out at the exhibition, with all the good and the great of the restaurant industry being there, including catering equipment suppliers, chefs, butchers, restaurant/hotel owner and many more.
The highly diverse range of both exhibitors and visitors allowed us to continue to gain insight knowledge on the forever developing restaurant and catering industry. This will in turn allow us to adapt to the changing market and continue to give quality products and services in the form of our Grease Guardian grease traps and after sales services.
We arrived on Sunday evening and began to set up the stand with minimal problems. Monday (day 1) proved to be our busiest day of the whole show. It consisted mainly of general enquiries from the public and other exhibitors, from people asking what it was we are selling, to more technical questions involving the flow rate and aftersales services of the grease traps. This gave us a great opportunity to introduce and promote our new GGX Range.
Day 2 and 3 of the exhibition were also very successful, taking in many inquiries and also helping ourselves to the large quantities of food tasters from our neighboring stands. We were joined by our distributor for the UK market, Roz. Roz brought an added element of knowledge to our stand which allowed me to forward on enquirers to her if they wanted more detail about the sales aspect of the grease trap industry.
As the third and final day came to a close, we began to dismantle our stand and look back over what had proved to be a massively successful and enjoyable show.
In conclusion, we can say that we did what we came to do, and that was to gain more knowledge about the market in which we are selling into, thus allowing Grease Guardian to capitalise on our already quality product and continue with providing an award winning service.
As the show is now finished, we must know begin our post-exhibition follow ups to all our enquiries which were taken over the course of the week. I just hope this doesn’t clash with the Ireland rugby game!
Once again, thanks for reading our FOG Blog and have a great day and weekend!
