A Visit from the Japanese Ambassador to Ireland

Last Monday (the 7th of October), FM Environmental and Grease Guardian® held the pleasure of hosting the Japanese ambassador to Ireland. The visit took place in the company Headquarters in Newry as part of the ambassador’s official visit to Newry.

Ambassador Mitsuru Kitano (pictured below) and First Secretary Isami Takada (also below) were keen to discuss how companies situated along the Irish border were dealing with on-going Brexit uncertainty. The ambassador expressed an interest in discussing how the Brexit climate was impacting upon trade and business-confidence.

Grease Guardian and FM Environmental took pride in discussing he positive environmental impact of our work and services to the ambassador. Yet, amidst avid discussions about Brexit and grease traps, discussions naturally turned to Ireland’s chances at the current Rugby World Cup in Japan…
