FORGOT YOUR DETAILS?

UK & Ireland support

After-hours help for your Grease Guardian®.

Practical steps to help you manage common issues safely until our service team is available.

Make safety the first step.

If there is smoke, a burning smell, sparking, damaged wiring or water close to electrical components, stop using the connected equipment. Isolate the power only if it is safe to do so and contact an appropriately qualified emergency contractor. Do not open electrical panels.

Immediate guidance

Choose the issue you are experiencing.

These temporary measures are intended to help you manage the site until Grease Guardian or a drainage contractor can attend.

Electrical or mechanical fault

  • If it is safe, switch the Grease Guardian off at its isolator.
  • With powered functions off, the unit can continue to act as a passive grease trap for up to three weeks.
  • Continue using connected equipment only while wastewater is flowing freely and there is no electrical or overflow hazard.
  • Empty the solids strainer and grease collection container regularly.

Book a Grease Guardian service visit for the next available working period.

Overflow or slow drainage

  • Stop using affected sinks or connected equipment if wastewater is backing up or overflowing.
  • Confirm the normal daily maintenance has been completed.
  • Check and empty accessible solids strainers or baskets without dismantling the unit.
  • Overflows are commonly caused by a blockage in downstream pipework.

A local drainage contractor will usually be the quickest route for a downstream blockage.

Unpleasant odours

  • Empty and clean the accessible solids strainer and grease collection container.
  • Fill the connected sink with hot, soapy water.
  • Release the water through the Grease Guardian and repeat if required.
  • If the odour continues, arrange a service visit or a drainage inspection.

Never use boiling water or unapproved drain-cleaning chemicals in the unit.

Prepare your request

Help us respond efficiently.

Providing the essential site and unit information helps our service team assess the request and prepare for the callout.

  • Full site address
  • Contact name and telephone
  • Unit model
  • Serial number, if available
  • What happened and when
  • Whether drainage is still flowing
Urgent drainage assistance

UK & Ireland drainage contacts.

For active blockages, overflows or tanker requirements that cannot wait, contact an appropriate drainage provider directly.

Please note: these contacts are provided for urgent drainage assistance. Availability, response times, work and charges are agreed directly with the contractor. A drainage attendance does not replace a Grease Guardian service visit where the unit itself requires repair.
